Efficient networks

ARIA Bourgogne, the Regional Food Industry Association which groups together private companies or cooperatives that carry out food transformation on an industrial scale. Its objective is to facilitate mutual enrichment and incite a synergy within the industry at a regional level.

A network of farmers and industries involved in the production and transformation of food which respects rigorous standards of quality:

    • Production with the label AOC (Controlled Term of Origin) / AOP (Protected Designation of Origin)
    • Production with the label IGP (Protected Geographical Indication)
    • Production with the label ’Label Rouge’
    • Production with GMS (supermarkets and hypermarkets) quality reference / product conformity certification

An offer from the farmers in line with industrial requirements: The farmers in Burgundy know how to adapt to the food industry by developing new products with new techniques and the necessary logistics.

For example: The setting-up of the D’AUCY firm in Burgundy led to a partnership with local cooperatives resulting in the industrial production of 30,000 tons of vegetables for prepared meals and tinned vegetables.

Strategically placed for access to the European market:

    • 40% of goods on the move in Europe pass through Burgundy,
    • A key hub for North/South trade within France and Europe,
    • A market of 120 million consumers at less than a one-day lorry-drive away ,
    • o A network of over 100 food distribution centres less than half a day’s lorry-drive away.
