From 16 to 18 June 2009, Burgundy Development Agency was present at this special edition of the Paris Air Show which attracted 140,000 professional visitors. The crisis was noticeable, mainly in the reduction in the number of foreign companies present. Faced with this situation the need for companies to regroup in organisations like EIGs (Economic Interest Group) had become even more apparent. In spite of this situation, Burgundy Development Agency, represented by Nicolas Grenier, its development adviser and a specialist in this sector, was able to benefit from meeting with around fifteen companies, some of whose projects for installation or partnership deals are already being followed up. The reaction of these companies to the level of competence in aeronautics in the region was very positive, notably thanks to the presence of InnovAero ; the only cluster of light leisure aircraft in France. The Paris Air Show registered an increase of clusters in the field of military and civil aircraft construction. The presence of a cluster of light leisure aircraft based in Burgundy was therefore all the more outstanding.
