Cocktail cracker manufacturer De Kroes establishes operations in Semur-en-Auxois

Dutch company De Kroes, a manufacturer of cocktail crackers, acquires majority stake in Semur Feuilletage and expands into De Kroes Feuilletage, a venture supported by Bourgogne Développement at De Kroes’ request. With joint production established, experience and knowledge is shared to everyone’s advantage.

The best in cocktail crackers with shared production

Located in the south of Holland, and with a hundred or so employees, this Dutch company thus acquires a second production unit to diversify its cocktail crackers. As it stands, the company manufactures salted crackers with fillings, snacks, wafers, etc. sold as a grocery item under the distributor’s brand name. With the Semur-en-Auxois site, the company will now produce cocktail pastries as well.

Mr. Johan Bouman, Sales Director of De Kroes, states : “Four years ago my associate, Mr. Verhagen, and I bought the company from Mr Pieter Galle. As former company employees we wanted to take this great production venture in new directions, which the recently-acquired bourguignon site will now allow us to do. We hope to attract a wider range of consumers now that we can manufacture cocktail pastries.”
