Simelectro is setting up in China in 2010

2010/07/06

The Simelectro group, manufacturers of electrical power connectors, is continuing its development since the takeover in 2007 by Olivier Noda. Staff at the Longvic site (on the Côte d’Or)has been increased : 10 new recruitments. These favourable circumstances will enable a subsidiary to be set up in China over the coming months

The Simelectric group based at Longvic (21) and at Chassieu (69) confirms profits rising distinctly in 2009 with Profit before tax of €784k in spite of sales being €17 million lower than those of 2008. This Profit is the result of better business selectivity and improved execution as well as tight cost control, in particular in the area of direct Purchases.

So it is that since the Leveraged Buy Out of Simelectro by Olivier Naudin and his fellow investors at the end of 2007, staff has been increased by more than 10 people at the Longvic site. Today the Similectro Group employs more than 80 staff full-time of which 12 are at the Chassieu site. In these positive circumstances Simelectro has obtained the support of its Shareholders, its Banking pool, of Oseo Rhône-Alpes and the Burgundy Regional Council to set up a manufacturing and sales subsidiary in China between now and the end of 2010.

The total investment is greater than €1M.
